For marble and limestone countertops we recommend a honed finish to camouflage any etching the may occur. For other materials whatever finish you prefer is all that matters.

Sealer and good housekeeping will keep marble from staining. Marble has been used for centuries in Europe as a work surface material. Just like hardwood floors, over time and with use it will age and Patina, only adding to the character and beauty of earths gift! Most man made products are not field repairable. Meaning, when they scratch or chip. The repairs are either impossible, or very noticeable. Man has been working with natural stone for centuries. Scratches and chips are easily fixed.
