The famed host of Late Night, Seth Meyers, and his wife Alexi are sharing a look at their newly redesigned Greenwich Village duplex with Architectural Digest, and the pictures are as stunning – and stylish – as expected. Despite the many design influences used to create the update, the most striking is the use of natural stone as a centerpiece of so many of the home’s central rooms.
While the change from the former aesthetic was dramatic, the home still bears resemblance to its days as the abode of actress Mary Louise Parker. While some design elements have stayed the same, most have changed, such as in the dining room, which, like the rest of the duplex, got a fresh coat of paint to brighten it up and provide contrast. A custom natural stone fireplace in a moodily dark shade of slate gray becomes the natural focal point of the boldly-designed dining room, highlighted by a custom table and chairs from Ashe Leandro’s line Ruemmler.
Upstairs, in an area that was once a lowly landing, the small space has been transformed into an intimate office, with a custom natural stone fireplace matching the one in the dining room, in the same shade of complex and earthy gray. Here, the look is completed by a half-round table and chairs discovered at a Paris flea market, among other eclectic design touches – the perfect combination of modern and vintage for this unique couple.
