NYC Interior Designers Show Off the Beauty of Natural Stone

By: Alex Jun 14th, 2019

As spring warms into summer, a batch of brilliant new designs by notable NYC interior designers is bursting into bloom. All around the city, in Greenwich Village, on the Upper East Side, over on West 76th, and on nearly every street in between, these fresh and modern designs leave room for the classic influence of natural stone. Featured here are three designers and their bold twists on the use of natural stone in three of their most noteworthy projects.

Crafted Interiors, in collaboration with Hunt Architecture, took extra care with updating this Greenwich Village home for a family of three. The apartment’s small spaces and the city’s rigorous permitting process were two of the biggest hurdles the team faced, but they overcame both with style and turned out a beautiful finished product.

Spacious natural stone waterfall countertops bring a luxurious finish to the white-on-white kitchen, and give a classic edge to the decidedly modern design.

The use of natural stone continues into the bathroom, where similarly sleek slabs trim the walls and sink, showing off the stone’s subtle patterning and highly-polished surface.
